FAQ
- What is X Engagement?
- X Engagement is a reciprocal engagement platform for X (formerly Twitter). You engage with other creators’ posts by writing genuine comments, and in return, others engage with yours. It’s a fair, 1:1 system: give one, get one back.
- How does the credit system work?
- Every time you write a quality comment on another user’s post, you earn 1 credit. When someone comments on your post, 1 credit is deducted. Your posts are only shown to others when you have credits available. This ensures fairness. No freeloaders.
- Are the comments real or automated?
- Every comment is written by a real person. An AI quality gate scores each comment before it’s posted. Low-quality or spammy comments are rejected. Comments must be at least 30 characters and relevant to the post.
- How does niche matching work?
- When you sign up, our AI analyzes your X profile and recent tweets to determine your niche (e.g., Crypto, Tech, Fitness). You’re matched with other users in similar niches so the engagement you receive is contextually relevant.
- What are the subscription tiers?
- Free is permanent with 8 gives, 2 receives, and 1 submitted post per day. Pro raises the give and receive limits to 10; Creator raises them to 30 and supports up to 3 X accounts. Paid plans are available weekly or annually.
- Is this safe for my X account?
- Yes. We use OAuth 2.0 with PKCE for authentication. We never see your X password. Comments are posted from your account with your explicit permission. You can revoke access at any time from your X settings.
- What is the 14-day ramp-up period?
- When you first join, your daily engagement limit starts at 3 and gradually increases to your full tier limit over 14 days. This protects your X account from being flagged for sudden unusual activity. The ramp applies to all new accounts and cannot be skipped. After 14 days, you have full access to your tier’s daily limit.
- Where can I use X Engagement?
- Account setup, billing, and pool status work on the website. Completing matched engagement tasks requires desktop Chrome with the X-Engagement extension for this launch.
- What happens to unused credits?
- Credits roll over to the next day, but are capped at 2x your daily tier limit. Credits above the cap are forfeited at midnight UTC. This prevents hoarding and keeps credits flowing through the system.
- How long does it take to see results?
- Most users see increased impressions and profile visits within the first week. The algorithm rewards consistent comment activity. Users who engage daily for 2-3 weeks typically report significant growth in reach and follower count. Peter Yang grew from 0 to 129K followers using a daily commenting strategy.
- How is this different from buying likes or followers?
- Buying likes gives you the weakest algorithm signal (1x weight) from fake accounts that create zero network effect. X-Engagement gives you real comments, worth 27x a like in the algorithm, from real creators in your niche. Each comment bridges your audience with the commenter’s audience, creating organic discovery. The algorithm rewards this. It penalizes fake engagement.
- Why are replies worth so much more than likes in the algorithm?
- The X algorithm uses engagement effort as a proxy for content quality. A like is one tap with zero cognitive effort. A reply requires reading the post, forming a thought, and typing a response. The algorithm’s logic: if someone stops scrolling to write a response, that content is genuinely interesting and should be shown to more people. This is why replies are weighted 27x higher than likes.
- Does the Free tier expire?
- No. Free is a permanent tier and does not require a card. Upgrade to Pro or Creator only when you want higher daily limits, then cancel any paid plan from Settings.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. You’ll keep access until the end of your current billing period. No cancellation fees, no long-term contracts.
- Where does the algorithm data come from?
- In March 2023, Twitter (now X) open-sourced its recommendation algorithm on GitHub. The engagement weights come directly from the HeavyRankingParams in the source code. These weights have been independently verified by data scientists, academics (including Princeton professor Arvind Narayanan), and major platforms like Buffer, Sprout Social, and Social Media Today.

- Make sure you are signed in to the same X-Engagement account on this website.

- If it still does not pair, reinstall it from the Chrome Web Store and sign out any stale browser session in Extension settings.
Common questions
- My comment was rejected — The AI quality gate scored it below the threshold. Try adding more substance and relevance to the post you are commenting on.
- My posts are not showing up — Make sure you have credits available. Posts are only shown to others when your credit balance is greater than 0.
- I ran out of skips — Skip limits are tier-based and reset daily at midnight UTC. Consider upgrading your tier for more skips.
