Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of X Engagement ("the Service"), operated at x-engagement.com and via the X Engagement iOS app. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service description
X Engagement is a reciprocal engagement platform for X (formerly Twitter). The Service enables users to exchange genuine engagement (comments/replies) with other users in their niche. For every engagement you give, you receive one back on your own posts.
The Service operates on a credit system: you earn credits by writing quality comments on other users' X posts, and credits are spent when others comment on your posts. The Service uses the X API to post comments on your behalf with your explicit authorization.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- You must have an active X (Twitter) account that meets our quality requirements (minimum account age of 30 days and at least 10 followers).
- You must authorize the Service to access your X account via OAuth 2.0 with the required permissions (read posts, write posts, read profile).
3. Account and authorization
You sign in using your X account via OAuth 2.0. By authorizing the Service, you grant us permission to:
- Read your X profile information and recent posts
- Post replies (comments) on X on your behalf
- Detect new posts from your X account for the engagement queue
You can revoke these permissions at any time from your X account settings. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. User obligations
When using the Service, you agree to:
- Write original, genuine comments that are relevant to the post you are engaging with. Comments must be at least 30 characters.
- Not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to generate comments or interact with the Service.
- Comply with X's Terms of Service and Developer Agreement at all times.
- Maintain only one account per X user.
- Not attempt to manipulate the credit system or engagement matching algorithm.
- Not sell, transfer, or share your account with others.
5. Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- Post spam, hate speech, harassment, or illegal content through the Service
- Submit duplicate, templated, or low-effort comments designed to game the system
- Create multiple accounts to earn additional credits or bypass limits
- Deliberately delete replies posted through the Service after receiving engagement back
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service's infrastructure or APIs
- Impersonate another user or misrepresent your identity
- Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law
Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or permanent ban, at our sole discretion. No refunds are issued for accounts terminated due to policy violations.
6. Subscription and billing
The Service offers a 7-day free trial. After the trial, a paid subscription is required to continue using engagement features.
- Subscriptions are billed weekly. Pricing is listed on our pricing page.
- Web subscriptions are processed through Stripe. iOS subscriptions are processed through Apple In-App Purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
- You may upgrade or downgrade your tier at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period.
- Cancellation: You can cancel at any time from your account settings. You retain access until the end of the current billing period.
7. Refund policy
Refunds are available within 7 days of the original charge. Only full refunds are issued — no partial or prorated refunds. Each user may receive a maximum of 3 refunds. Refunds are processed via the original payment method (Stripe or Apple). Apple App Store refunds must be requested through Apple directly.
- Request made within 7 days of the charge date
- Full billing period refund only (no partial/prorated)
- Maximum 3 refunds per account lifetime
- Apple IAP refunds handled by Apple — not through our admin panel
- Subscription is cancelled upon refund (no continued access)
- Starter/trial credits are not refundable
8. Credits and engagement
- Credits are earned by completing quality engagements and are spent when your posts receive engagement.
- Credits have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged, refunded, or transferred outside the Service.
- Credits roll over daily but are capped at 2x your daily tier limit. Credits above the cap are forfeited at midnight UTC.
- New users receive 1 starter credits, which are non-refundable.
- All comments are subject to our AI quality gate. Comments scoring below the minimum threshold will be rejected and must be improved before submission.
9. AI quality gate
Every comment submitted through the Service is evaluated by an AI quality gate before being posted to X. Comments are scored on relevance, substance, originality, and effort. Comments that do not meet the minimum quality threshold are rejected. This system exists to ensure all engagement on the platform is genuine and valuable.
The Service may also offer optional AI-assisted comment enhancement. Any AI-enhanced comment must be explicitly approved by you before posting.
10. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the comments you write. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to post those comments on X on your behalf and to process them through our quality gate. The Service's branding, design, and software are owned by us and may not be copied or reproduced.
11. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
- That the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times
- Specific results from using the Service (follower growth, engagement rates)
- Continued availability of X API access (which is controlled by X/Twitter)
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
12. X API and third-party dependencies
The Service depends on the X (Twitter) API. Changes to X's API, terms, pricing, or availability may affect the Service. We are not responsible for disruptions caused by third-party services including X, Stripe, Apple, or OpenAI. If X API access is disrupted, pending engagements will be queued and delivered when access is restored.
13. Account suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited conduct, or if your X account is suspended or deleted. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, all your data including engagement history, credits, and stored OAuth tokens will be permanently removed.
14. Dispute resolution
If you have a dispute regarding the Service, please contact us at support@x-engagement.com first. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve disputes informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable law, except where prohibited.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
